The genetic compatibility test (GCT) identifies mutations in the genes responsible for recessive disorders and disorders related to sex. By carrying out this blood analysis, both partners of the couple can know whether they share any mutation causing these disorders. This test studies around 368 recessive autosomal disorders and disorders related to sex. In the case of a match for any of the conditions between the partners, they will be warned of this incompatibility, then suggesting the possibility of undergoing genetic counselling and a preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD).
